What is Kino Kabaret?

Kino Kabaret is a short film workshop where anybody can do anything they want. No previous experience in filmmaking is needed. We get together, present our ideas and start making films! Two days later, the films will premiere in a local cinema. We don’t have a shiny budget but we have each other to create something amazing.

Our Kino Lab this year is a secluded location in Eastern Helsinki called Meriharju. It’s an old mansion in the middle of a forest and by the seaside. Due to this special location we have the heartbreaking task of selecting 75 participants for this kino. We’re not looking for amazing portfolios, but people who will help make this an enjoyable and inspiring experience for all <3

ALL OF THE APPLICATIONS WILL BE READ AND CONSIDERED ANONYMOUSLY 🙂

Our application period is 25.2.-8.4. and the selections will be announced by 19.4.

We work in three sessions. The participation fee for each session is 12 euros for members of Euphoria Borealis ry, and 16 euros for non-members. There will be a vegan meal served every day, as well as snacks and coffee.

At all Euphoria Borealis events we practice a safer space policy.
